Welcome to The Four Alls, Ovington

The Four Alls

  • The Monarch - 'I reign over all'       A Bishop - 'I pray for all'
    A Soldier - 'I fight for all'       A Farmer - 'I pay for all'

The Four Alls is a stone built traditional 19th century, family owned, inn located in the centre of the quiet village of Ovington, also known as 'The Maypole Village'. Overlooking the large village green and situated in Lower Tessdale, the village is just on the border between North Yorkshire and County Durham with easy access to Barnard Castle and main routes such as the A1 and A6 and within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Inn is the ideal location for a break away from the hustle, bustle and stresses of 21st century life, offering warm and cosy ensuite bedrooms with a welcoming atmosphere.

At the Four Alls you can sample the wide range of bottled ales we have on offer as well as supporting Mithril Ales, a local micro brewery, as a hand pulled ale.

Come and sample the home cooked fresh food prepared on site either from our standard menu or the special board. We use only high quality sourced ingredients supporting local businesses where possible, basically our motto is 'if we won't eat it, we won't serve it!'
